Product Information
Authentic organic Japanese KEIKO green tea “Konacha” (in bags) is grown in semi-shade and harvested in May and June during the first and second harvests. It has a pleasant, mild flavor. Each tea bag is individually sealed to preserve the fresh aroma and taste of the tea, making it convenient for travel.
Usually, such high-quality tea is not packaged in individual bags, but KEIKO green tea “Konacha” is specially packaged for convenient use.
Under the KEIKO brand, you will find a range of unique, delicate teas with flavors and aromas that vary based on the harvesting time. KEIKO teas are grown on an organic farm in the Kagoshima region of southern Japan. The tea can be grown in shade or sunlight. When grown in semi-shade under special nets (Japanese “Kabuse”), the conditions become very similar to the natural environment where wild tea bushes grow. “Kabusecha” is exceptionally rich in extracts, distinctly green, and has a sweeter taste.
KEIKO teas are processed in a special way that allows the tea leaves to best unfold and protects them from oxidation. Immediately after harvesting, the tea leaves are steamed, cooled, rolled, and dried. Airtight bags retain the active ingredients and the fresh aroma of the tea until you enjoy it. Packaged in a controlled environment.
Preparation: Pour water at a temperature no higher than 70-75ºC over the tea bag (up to 3 times) for one cup (about 150 ml) of water. Steep the first infusion for 60-90 seconds. Remove and press the bag – the tea is ready to enjoy! Steep the second infusion for 15 seconds and the third for 30 seconds. Each time, remove and press the bag well. It is best to drink all three cups of tea without long breaks between infusions.
